How Image Background Remover works
The tool decodes the image into a browser canvas, samples a background color, and flood-fills from the image edges through neighboring pixels within the selected RGB-distance tolerance. Connected background pixels become transparent while disconnected regions of similar color are generally preserved. The result is exported as a transparent PNG. Large decoded images are limited to reduce browser memory pressure.
